The Boat That Rocked movie lost money because naughty OLD fans wait for DVD.

I FINALLY got to see “The Boat That Rocked” (UK version) with the deleted scenes (legitimate DVD cost only UKP4 here!) I enjoyed it immensely. The original version ran 2′ 53″ – but it was trimmed to 2′ 15″ for the UK market – then 1′ 50″ for the US. But it lost money in BOTH markets. I can see the problem. Despite good trailers on both sides of the Pond – the action is irrelevent to modern YOUTH.

It was a great film for US (you and me – not America – shows why PUNCTUATION is IMPORTANT!) but old farts like us rarely visit the cinema these days. We wait for a DVD – or TV. It looks like anyone who makes a grown-up film in the future will be doomed to lose a shit-load of MONEY. Sad.
