Alfie: If cars had email….

13 Jul

To: The blue “51 reg” Renault Clio.

Location: B1090 between Sawtry and Abbots Ripton at about 8.15 a.m. on Wednesday 13th July.

From: The black Nissan Micra.

Location: Stuck behind said Clio for 5 miles on that same road.

Message: We, the 4th and 5th gears of this car wish to thank you most sincerely for the lovely rest that we were able to enjoy this morning.

Of course, our driver didn’t quite see it the same way!

We don’t know if “shift it you nasty little froggy pox box” was actually directed at you or your driver but we have noticed that our man does tend to get a bit ratty if someone drives at less than 50% of the maximum allowed speed limit rather than on or just over it as he does!

He did in fact give us a message for you to pass on to YOUR driver, if you’d be so kind:-

“Nothing in sight ahead of you and a queue of about 20 vehicles crawling along behind you means YOU AREN’T GOING FAST ENOUGH!”

As we stated at the start we, the 4th and 5th gears, enjoyed the break; our colleagues “2” and “3” most definitely did not!

And I’ll leave you to work out where the idea for THAT piece came from!
